Huck Magazine
July 24, 2009 · Leave a Comment
I have finished my internship at Sugar magazine *sob*. It was a great month working for a big publishing company with lots of freebies and good experience. I think I will have some stuff in the September print edition so keep your eyes peeled.
And of course, every cloud… This week I started at Huck Magazine and it is very lovely indeed. Nestled behind a gallery on Rivington Street, Huck HQ shares an office with independent film magazine Little White Lies under the moniker Story Publishing. The guys who launched the magazine did my post-grad (which by the way I passed with a merit!) at City.

So far I have interviewed a ukulele karaoke band, Karauke; wrote NIBs about some political sculptors and a web story about David Shrigley painting a skate bowl, which you can read here if you so wish.
It’s great and I’m excited.

This was a great article they did about kids surfing in the middle east amidst the conflict between Israel and Palestine.

I will keep you updated.

At the risk of this becoming a “I heart Chloe Sevigny” blog I present to you the video for Coconut Records new single Any Fun featuring… ahem… Chloe Sevigny. The vid’s got a beaten-up, south cali, 8mm film vibe to it and sees Sevigny skating around with legend Mark Gonzales.
Here’s Gonz on the cover of Thrasher in 1984.
